Since information and communication technologies have found their way inside manufacturing processes IT security has become a serious aspect of Industrie 4.0. Product development and production processes must be safe and secure in many ways. Identifying safety and security requirements for your systems from an IT point of view is important and must be considered in an early stage of development. Before you adapt Industrie 4.0 technologies to your processes, a safe and secure environment of external access and internal functionality must exist. This course gives you an insight into important IT security methods for Industrie 4.0.
This course unit deals with the Safety and Security Requirements, which are necessary for Industrie 4.0. In addition, approaches to IT security are presented and explained.
